Hop Hideout is an award winning speciality beer shop and tasting room, founded in 2013 as a ‘labour of beery love’ by Jules Gray.

One of the first ‘drink in’ beer shops in the UK, we have 200+ chilled beers available to browse, enjoy there and then or takeaway - including four fresh rotating draught taps. Owner Jules has a penchant for wild ales, funky beers, natural wines and farmhouse cider and loves nothing more than helping you find something you love to drink.

We’re currently taking a break whilst we move locations. We’re excited to move to Leah’s Yard grade II listed social hub at the heart of Sheffield showcasing the very best in local independent art, retail, food and drink.

Passionate about Sheffield, good causes, and making beer a welcoming space for everyone, Jules is also founder and organiser of Sheffield Beer Week and Indie Beer Feast.

Mail Order

We have offered a mail order service since 2014 and you can browse our online shop via the header links on this website. We currently post out to Mainland UK residents. We use a fragile package courier specialist. Our standard shipping is £8.95 (roughly 24x330ml bottle equivalent). Minimum order for mail order packages is £20.00.

Packages are shipped Tuesday to Friday (excluding bank holidays. Friday shipped packages first delivery attempt is Monday).

Due to increased costs on cardboard mail order packaging material, fuel and courier prices Hop Hideout has had to review our free shipping offer and increased the basket spend to £75.00. Thanks for your understanding here, to claim this on your +£75 basket spend use FREESHIP75 at checkout.

Click & Collect

Click & collect in store option is available (free service). Which means you can buy beer online and collect it next time you're in the area! (We ask that you collect your order within 14 days of payment, bringing your order confirmation and photo ID along on pick-up). When you receive your email fulfillment confirmation you know you're order is ready to collect. We aim to process within 2 days.
